Harare: It took threats of impeachment by the parliament for Robert Mugabe to finally resign as president of Zimbabwe on Tuesday, ending four decades of rule by a man who turned from liberator to a power hungry leader. Definitely, not a one off trend in the continent of Africa.

“If I were Uganda’s Yoweri Museveni or Paul Kagame of Rwanda I will step aside.” Shaka Ssali Said. “Africa don’t need dictators it needs leaders.

The host of VOA’s Straight Talk Africa and most powerful African media personality in America went on to say. “I it is a high time they look into the mirror and say, you know what! I ‘ve made enough contribution let me step aside and let others pick up the baton,” said Shaka.

Only time will tell if these African leaders will heed the advice and free their countries from years of despot leaders also let Africa move away from winner take all mentality.
